Matt Miniat joined Miniat Holdings LLC in 2011 and has since played a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth across the company’s two divisions. His leadership spans Purchasing, Operations, and Business Development, including overseeing the $30MM Project Bonanza expansion as Plant Manager in 2015 and strengthening South Chicago Packing’s manufacturing, pricing, and cost management strategies as General Manager in 2018.
In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Matt focuses on enhancing efficiency, innovation, and value creation across Miniat’s cooked meat and edible oil operations. He established a Business Development team to deepen culinary and technical expertise in fats and oils and launched a direct-to-consumer sales channel, broadening Miniat’s and SCP’s market presence.
Matt’s experience includes roles with Dawn Farm Foods in Ireland and Agentis Energy, a Chicago-based startup. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
A 5th generation Miniat family member, Matt is passionate about continuing the company’s legacy while pursuing new opportunities in the food industry.
